Vanilla Hills Lodge is situated close to San Ignacio, the inland center of tourism in Belize. We individually care for each of our guests and help you to choose the best from the many activities the main land offers. From here you easily reach the major adventures, be it small or large Maya temple sites, a variety of caves, the Belize mountains or the lush jungle.

Vanilla Hills is completely embedded in nature and located right at the picturesque Mopan River. Still it is only 7 minutes by taxi to San Ignacio Town center. You can stay on the beautiful grounds of Vanilla Hills or enjoy the vibrant culture of Belize in San Ignacio, the 2nd largest town of Belize.
Our cottages are individually designed to make you feel at home. They have one or two bedrooms, large verandas and all amenities you would expect for a short or extended stay. All guesthouses are situated in the jungle and spaced far enough from each other to ensure perfect privacy. They are built of beautiful hardwoods and feature a variety of other local materials.
To make these moments in your life even nicer, we do our best. We are passionate, when it comes to food. All the breads and jams are home made. We source locally and use organic ingredients as much as we can. This includes vegetables from our own greenhouse and farm raised chicken. Our orange grove and the coconut palms provide us with more delicious treats. At the local market we buy the freshest fruits and vegetables and we purchase grass fed beef from a ranch nearby as well as fish from the Caribbean Sea. All our dishes are skillfully prepared and presented with great care. Food is more than just filling one’s belly. It’s creating a piece of art in a perfect environment you can see, smell and taste.
